CVC sees ESG as an important part of our value creation and risk management approach to build a better business and create sustainable value. We have developed frameworks to integrate ESG into our investment processes across all six investment strategies.
ESG is considered across the stages of the deal life cycle
From initial screening and due diligence to exit, we integrate ESG to support decision-making at each stage, where relevant and appropriate.
This involves integrating ESG considerations into our investment thesis, incorporating ESG factors into due diligence, and engaging with portfolio companies to drive ESG improvements during the holding period.
Monitoring and ongoing engagement
CVC's Value Creation framework (as pictured on the right) provides a consistent approach to support our portfolio companies when assessing their priorities and how they operate.
Our four pillar reporting programme aims to measure progress against each priority area, focusing on what is most material for a particular business.

CVC has been on an ESG journey since 2010 when we initiated our first ESG engagement programme with our Private Equity portfolio and established the CVC Foundation in 2011.
